First off, I can read emails anytime of any day, I just can't reply until P-Day. Second, DearElder.com is cool and also sorry for not getting you my MTC address before I left, but here it is!

Sister Mataya Paula Rosander
AUG07 KS-WICH

The first week here in the CCM has been perfect. My companion is Hermana Ekaterina Woolsey from Bakersfield California and we get along way good. We actually were in a group chat and knew of each other before the CCM because we are both going to the same mission! So Fun! Also my district is amazing and we've had some good bonding times already and I already know I'll cry when we all separate in 5 weeks.

Yes I still have my gross cough and it won't go away, so this week I'll probably get another blessing. There is sooooooo much food here, it's insane. I don't know how anyone can eat all three meals here every day. I did like the first day and it wasn't a good idea so now I eat like fruit for breakfast, whatever they serve for lunch and like a salad for dinner haha

The best part has been my district for sure and also this hermana who we call madre OSO. She comes in and tells us stories about life and we talk and then she tucks us in, she kind of reminds me of Hannah (Christians sister). Ahhh honestly just my district. We are all already so close and get along so good, all of us. No one is left out ever and we always have such fun times but also can just sit and be serious and talk about life, and bear our testimonies. It's great. I wish you all could meet them all.

The hardest (but also a spiritual and memorable and still good) part was sunday. It was fast sunday and we went to choir practice and match his message and also to a devotional and a branch meeting and everything was about repentance and the atonement and I was struggling. So I talked with my president and he assured me that I was just fine and promised me so many different things with being a missionary and marriage and it turned out perfect. Sooo really no bad parts. (:

Spanish is going really good in my district! We have 6-8 hours of spanish class a day and no religious class, we just mix that in a little bit with spanish. We have 30 minutes of scripture study and 2 hours of additional language study and then 3 meal times. I've been so impressed at how well everybody is picking everything up! We always pray in spanish and bear our testimonies in spanish and started teaching mini lessons in spanish on Saturday, so only after 3 days of being here. The gift of tounges is a real thing guys.

Dad, youd be proud haha I beat the elders in the zone at speed 3 times and also run a mile or 2 every day. I love excersize time. haha I also dominate at 4 square and vollyball aha it's a good time here en la CCM
Anyway.... love you all so much and can't wait to hear from ya!

Mataya received her mission call to the Kansas Wichita mission and will be entering the MTC on June 27, 2018. She will spend some time there learning Spanish.  We are all excited to continue with her on this wonderful journey of service for our  Heavenly Father.  Sister Rosander will do great things!
